Taking children on field trips throughout the city is also a great way to spend a weekend.
I love working with children and look forward to meeting you and yours!
I have also worked as a Hebrew school teacher for more than ten years and have taught classes from kindergarten through 7th grade. As part of my teaching duties, I develop and teach creative lesson plans and staff weekend class retreats a couple of times each year. Teaching classes, going to school and working multiple jobs- all at the same time- doesn't ruffle my feathers! I enjoy keeping busy and having a full schedule.
I moved to Boston to work in clinical research after graduating from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 2005 with an honors degree in Biological Sciences and a minor in Anthropology. Although I grew up in sunny California, I love living in Boston! Some of my favorite ways to spend spare time including running, hiking, yoga, and going to the park with my dog,Chloe.
Our staff loved your company and said everyone was very professional!

Thank you for helping us with the kids at Gabriel and Pavana’s wedding this past weekend.
It was quite a relief to everyone,
mostly the parents to know that their precious little ones were in trusted and loving hands.
We can’t wait to use your services in the next wedding we plan.

Have a great weekend!
The Girls @ Mint To Be EventsDear Jen,
I just wanted to say thank you so much for sending Kat over Friday night.
She was incredibly helpful --
very sweet and fun with the kids and just a delight to have as part of our seder.
I don't have her email but I hope you can pass on to her: we had a second seder Saturday night
(much smaller) and Sam was making nametags and made one for "Cat".
I told him Kat wasn't coming and he was *very* disappointed.
So I reassured him we would find another time to get together with Kat again soon;
and hopefully we will! The kids loved her and would love to see her again!
All the best

Thanks for sending us AMAZING babysitters!!
One in particular stood out – I believe her name is Kathryn G.
She engaged the children in ways I’ve never seen… I actually had her transferred
to our most hectic room and within 5 minutes the room quieted down and the kids were
all on the floor listening to her story – playing games… WOW!!

I just wanted to thank Kat G for taking wonderful care of our 9 month old son
Julian last weekend. Julian's father and I got married at a hotel in Boston and Kat
watched him both Friday night and most of Saturday. Julian hasn't spent much time with
a babysitter but he took an instant liking to her. Kat was thrown right into the mix with
our family and friends which can be a bit overwhelming and was great.
Thank you again! All the best.

Thank you for providing me with excellent childcare last week for my trip to Boston.
I am so glad I was able to go to the conference without being away from my little guy.
I am a frequent user of hotel babysitting (just in the last couple of months my work
has taken my infant and me to Toronto and Florida as well, and I am about to go to
Washington DC next week) and your sitting service is the best of the ones I have used,
and the most reasonably priced. It was especially nice to have Kat watch Benjamin
for the second time in Benjamin’s short life.
I’d definitely recommend her for the “preferred” level!
I’ll be in touch when I am back in Boston again—it will likely be within the year.

Just to say a huge thank you for arranging Kat to babysit our son Arlo-
it worked out really well and Arlo was really happy whilst he was with Kat-
she was very confident and we would recommend her to other parents.
Many thanks and Best Wishes,

Thank you again so much for your great service this year.
Kat G was wonderful and Isaac just loved her.
We're back in Calgary now and he asked if Kat can babysit for him here too!
My husband qualified again for the marathon next year so if we come back
I'll be sure to contact you.
Thanks again,
-Jennifer, April 2011
I wanted to let you know that all the providers [Kat et al]
were great over Rosh Hashanah-
the parents loved them!

Jennifer, Having returned home from our weekend in Boston,
I wanted to convey my appreciation and sentiments regarding Kat.
She was incredible! Completely calm, collected, punctual
and child-friendly which in the midst of a very hectic wedding weekend with overwhelmed
parents and kids whose schedules were off kilter was very much appreciated.
She gave us the needed peace of mind to allow us to enjoy my sister's
rehearsal dinner and wedding reception.
Please convey my appreciation to her and let me know if I might send you a couple lines
of recommendation to include on her profile.
Thanks for everything!

Jen, thanks for arranging for Kat to sit for Rachel this weekend.
It all worked out very well.

Thank you for helping with the Bates-Wannop wedding!
The young woman, Kat, who took care of Adelaide was very helpful.
We do soooo appreciate it. Sorry Adelaide cried. She had a lot to get used to with flying,
a hotel and the absence of her parents. Your service and your staff enabled us to have
a wonderful time when Addie couldn't be with us.
Thanks again.

Hi Jen,
Everything worked out well [with Kat, Lauren, Polina and Shandra].
Thank you again for the organization. We will recommend your name among the HBS
community in Boston and Cambridge.
Best regards,
-Daniel, March 2010
Your services were invaluable to us while in Boston.
We had a wedding to attend in the snow!
You sent the perfect person to be with our child. I wanted and needed to let you know
how great Kat was with our son, Jack. She was even early with all the snow
that was falling. He can be a handful and have definite ideas about what he wants to do.
Kat was wonderful with him.
Keeping an 18 month old child occupied in a hotel room is no easy task.
She was even kind of enough to let us go over our allotted time by an hour.
Her smile was warm and inviting and is part of what won over Jack who can be weary
of new people. I will definitely call on her again. The secret is out. Kat is the best!
With many thanks!

NNTD 2012:
Boston’s Best BabySitters celebrated National Nanny Training Day to recognize the needs of young children and to raise awareness of the positive correlation between nanny training and quality care. This national initiative was part of Week of the Young Child, an annual celebration sponsored by the National Association for the Education of Young Children. (NAEYC is an early childhood education association of almost 90,000 members and a network of more than 300 local, state, and regional affiliates. ) On Saturday, April 28th over 1,000 nannies in more than 30 cities gathered in their local communities at training events designed to meet their unique needs. Boston’s Best BabySitters was proud to be the local sponsor for the Boston event, which was held at the South Boston Neighborhood House.
The Boston event offered sessions on Creative and Interactive Play, Family-nanny Challenges, Infant & Child CPR and First Aid, Infant Massage, Infant and Toddler Safety, Newborn Specialties, Nurtured Heart Approach, Pediatric Nutrition, Portfolio Building and Professional Development. This event was open to nannies throughout the community and offered caregivers the opportunity to network, share resources and be appreciated for their professionalism. The trainings tackled some of the profession’s unique challenges and also celebrated its unique rewards. (I helped-out during the Ask A Nurse session!)
I have worked for Boston’s Best Babysitters since 2008. During my first years with BBB, I graduated from a Master’s program at Simmons College, where I studied to become a family nurse practitioner. I have a great deal of experience working with children, and even though I now work full-time as a nurse practitioner, I continue to add to that experience, caring for children (and pets) on nights & weekends.
I began babysitting in high school and have worked with children of all ages, including those with developmental delays, special needs, and autism. After graduating from college, I spent a year working as a pediatrician’s assistant, where I gained valuable experience working with children from newborns to adolescents. In addition to learning a lot, I enjoyed entertaining young children during their siblings’ exams and making the office a fun place to visit.
